    Plates tectauniques or plate lithosphériques fragments of the lithosphere are which result from his(its) cutting up like a jigsaw puzzle by a system of faults, ridges, rift valleys and pits(graves) of subduction. Plates tectauniques, drawn away by the currents of convection which enliven the topcoat, move of some centimetres a year in different directions, what draws away the training(forming) of zones of divergence, subduction and collision.

    There are two structural types of tectauniques plates:

    plates tectaunique oceanic composed(made up) almost exclusively of rind oceanic tectaunique (plate of Cokes, plate of Nazca, etc);
    tectaunique continental plates composed(made up) of tectaunique continental and oceanic rind (plate Eurasian, Indian plate, etc)
